Learning body language has a number of great advantages. Generally speaking, the way a person feels at a certain time is likely to be reflected in the gestures, posture and expressions they use.
I must be honest that I have known many of these things that I have learned back in school. I am not saying that it is not useful I had expected that I am not going to read the same things. Not to be a negative Nancy I am saying that I did not know that all parts of the body are involved in manifesting body language. All in all it is not a bad book but it must be much more broad and I hoped that I was going to learn something new and that I would be able to implement it.
This book deals with judging people based on their appearance, manner of acting and other immediately visible traits they might have. I found this book to be very interesting to read and full of helpful content. I learned a lot by reading this one book. I like the part on body language mistakes to avoid and have experienced immediate results with it. There is career advice, relationship advice, and more. This book does a great job at giving tips on how to analyze people that make a ton of sense and so far have actually seemed to work.
I recommend you to try this book, its awesome, and you might get something out in here that will change your life epically!
Id be lying if i told you that one or even few articles can help you analyze someone's personality properly but the good news is that all the knowledge you need to analyze someone perfectly can be found on this book.
Read all articles about psychology, read the articles about personality analysis. Try to analyze your own personality first so that you can test your knowledge.
After you successfully do that move to the next close person and try to analyze him. When you find yourself able to analyze the personality of close people start applying what you learned on strangers. This book will be the best guide you will ever have in doing such. I highly recommend this one!
Somehow, reading this book is quiet a past time and fun. At some point, I learn lots of gestures and what they mean. This read is quiet interesting too and somehow I became able to understand some gestures and be observant. And as what they say, action speaks louder than words still we should be cautious and not to judge immediately to other persons action. Just be observant to their actions and just be aware of your response. This book is intended for us to be aware of the usual gestures but not to judge, this meant to understand and not to be misunderstood. The aim is to build your skills in communicating and socializing with others. And this guide also keep us knowledgeable on what some gestures means to other cultures.
I was expecting a short book with generalities and some one or two important points to consider. I was amazed at the information I gleaned from this book. One of the concepts I like best was regarding the rules for Accurate Body Language Reading, that is Read Gestures in Cluster and in Context and Look for Congruence.
This is also the first time I heard of Haptics, also known as the language of touch. I also like the discussion on Proxemics.
All in all, this is a good book, full of important body language information to have. Now I know how my Implicit and Explicit Body Language can affect my relationships and relational transactions. This book makes one reassess one's own style of body language and help one modify it to achieve the desired reaction from those we interact with.
This book is very poorly written. It's filled with mistakes, bad grammar and is a rip-off of other well researched and well written books I have read. It is apparent that this individual read another book and tried to write something similar.
